Welcome to the Autism Community's Piggy Bank.

Supporting the Autism Community

In these tough economic times, everyone is tightening their belts and holding on to whatever savings they may have.  We understand this and decided to adjust our approach to helping the Autism Community.

The most conventional method of helping is through donations.  To make this possible, we created the widget below.  It's simple to use and safe.  It's the most efficient way to get direct assistance to the families that need it.  There isn't a limit to what you can give; $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100.  It doesn't matter.  What matters is that a family that's been struggling for years coping with autism will finally receive some relief.  AACFINC's goal is 3 million donors.  This is a "one time" fundraiser.  We understand this is aggressive and even a bit ambitious.  However, real assistance can not happen unless this 'National Trust Fund' is large enough to absorb large family debt caused mainly by medical bills.  The cost of autism to the U.S. government is approximately 40 to 90 billion dollars annually.  The AACFINC Fund can help dramatically lower this cost.  Even if you do not have health insurance to cover autism, the $25 dollar 'one time' donation of 3 million donors guarantees you will have a 'National Trust Fund' designed to assist your autistic child no matter what end of the spectrum they are on.

We have always had a kiosk that allows anyone to purchase an item of their choice while also contributing to the Autism Community.  A percentage of the proceedes go directly to Aid Autistic Children Fund to help those families that need it the most.  Raising funds this way is a lot slower than direct cash contributions but, it's much easier.  Besides, you also receive something in return for your contribution to a worthy cause.  Here's the kiosk:

Why is AACFINC doing this?  Simple.  We truly believe in rewarding people for their efforts to sincerely help the autism community.  April is Autism Awareness Month and we only have that moment in time to get the public's attention.  News fades fast and most people do not feel autism is something that concerns them.  When it's out of the news, the disconnect happens quickly.  That's why we've decided to give directly to the autism community and reward those who support us.  We are working towards giving a special AACFINC Puzzle Award to those who are making a real difference in the lifes of families coping with autism and Asperger's Syndrome.  This will create real stories that must be told and covered on a monthly basis, effectively keeping autism in the news locally and nationally.  The joy and excitement generated will encourage more to join the ranks of AACFINC's contributors.  We will push to maintain CNN coverage of this 'gift giving' program.

It might be a bit unorthodox, but, this is a very simple and transparent way to give back to the autism community while tangibly assisting someone directly.  The changes in a family's life will be immediate.  It's not just change, that's literal change.  We want to be the champions of that positive voice and perspective from here forward.  We are not "angry activists" here at AACFINC.  We're amiable advocates.  We are only focusing energy on what we need to do, now to help the Autism Community.  We feel this positive "can do" perspective is what the majority in the autism community subscribe to and appreciates we emulate.  We will not deviate from this perspective and will continue to increase our efforts to massively impact change, progress and goodwill towards the Autism Community.
